Aquest dimarts s’han donat a conèixer la llista dels primers semifinalistes a les diferents categories dels Oscar 2019, tot i que la llista definitiva s’anunciarà el 22 de gener. La cerimònia d’entrega tindrà lloc el 24 de febrer a Los Angeles.
Entre les nominades a millor cançó original no hi falten el ‘Shallow’ de Lady Gaga i Bradley Cooper, una de les cançons que té més números de resultar vencedora si no hi ha alguna sorpresa inesperada. Entre la resta de primers classificats també figuren Kendrick Lamar i SZA amb ‘All the stars’, Troye Sivan i Jónsi amb ‘Revelation’, Thom Yorke amb ‘Suspiria’ o Sade amb ‘The Big Unknown’.
